Red Rock Invitational 2008 Moab, Utah
The team traveled to Moab today August 23rd for our first cross country meet. We left the high school a little after 7am and arrived in Moab around 9:15am. The Grand coaches informed me that the JV race and the Varsity races were going to be combined. Boys first preceeded by the girls Jv and Varsity. The designated 7 boys for Varsity were Jordan, Jared, Kaleb, Kaeden, Luke, Carson and Nathan. Before the race started to distiguish who was who since JV was running with them they put V's on there bib numbers.
The teams participating were Moab, San Juan, Monticello, and unfortunatley I dont recall the rest of them..... 8 Total I believe. The gun fired just after 10am...... They were off!
The team finished on top. We won both JV and Varsity races for the boys.

The girls race started when the boys race was completed. The team was made up of Patricia, Karissa, Kacylia, and Kristin. We didnt have a 5th runner so the girls ran individual. Patricia went out in the lead and remained there. She finished 2nd overall and Karissa not too far behind her was 10th and Kacylia a close 12th. Patricia medaled as a Varsity indivual runner, and Kariss and Kacylia went 1 and 2 in the JV. Kristin struggled with asthma however finished the race and is doing ok.
